Ive had a love for the sport since middle school.I started as a bench warmer in 6th .My older sister was on the same team as me and I looked up to her alot because she was a starter. I was disappointed in being a benchwarmer that year and 7th but it pushed me to improve. That summer i trained hard, started going to recreational centers ,and open gym nights to practice. 8th grade came and i got subbed in a few times, while it wasnt my goal it motivated me. 10th grade came and I became a starter, playing along my sister who was the captain. 11 grade came and i wasn't too focused on volleyball because i was focusing on my grades , i was also in NHS so school work was my priority. But i managed to balance both well. In a way the sport elevated my education because it taught me persistence, motivation, the wanting to improve, and responsibility. Its something thats a part of me and something I want to keep doing if im given the opportunity
