As a first year high school student I admired, from the bleachers, how volleyball teams worked together . I aspired to be a part of a close-knit team that encouraged and helped each other to reach their goal. My collegiate goals are to be a well-rounded athletic scholar, to exceed and lead in the class room and on the court, and to gain a higher understanding within the fields of my interests. As a prospective college athlete, my aspirations are to gain vast learning experiences, at a top quality school. To aim to be the best I can be at my sport. And to be chosen to compete at the national level.
I am the best candidate for your team because I encourage my teammates and myself to start fresh with every play, and I am eager to be coached to the higher skill level that collegiate volleyball demands. My stand-out characteristics include first and fore-most, my driven nature. My athletic talent and spirited personality allows me to be a competitive player. And last but not least, what defines me academically is my focused determination in my educational career.
My mentor said something along the lines of, "If the entire team is in every serve, of every play, the entire game, we will not lose." These words as well as my aspirations and my goals, are the essence of who I am as an athletic and academic recruit.
