Madison Oselies '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madison (Maddie) Oselies and I have been playing volleyball for 6 years. I have played club volleyball for NAVC in Edmonton, Alberta since 13U and I have played school volleyball since grade 7. This season is my second club season playing as a libero. I have fallen in love with the position and am working hard to develop my skills every time I pick up a ball. 

 It would be my dream to play post secondary volleyball. To be a student athlete would be such a great opportunity that I don't want to pass up. I would love to challenge myself in playing at a higher level of competition than club volleyball. I just couldn't picture myself quitting volleyball after my club career is finished, so I would love to play post secondary and keep enjoying the sport.  On the court, I am level headed, a leader, and I have my teammates backs. I am consistently complimented for my ability to remain calm on the court and lay out for any ball. I am willing to try new things and take risks, as I played the age group up this season, playing 18U instead of 17U. This was a huge jump for me, but I am so happy I took that chance, and I became a much better player because of it! I can't wait to keep practicing and see where my volleyball career goes!
