Versatile athlete. Team player. Academic scholar. Determined and resilient. These are a few words to describe me. Thank you for reviewing my profile! My name is Jordana Xiomara Rose. I am a junior in high school and looking forward to continuing with volleyball at the collegiate level. I began my volleyball career as a Middle Blocker and moved to Outside Hitter/Opposite quickly as I found my love of attacking the net offensively. I currently play on the 17 Black National team at CJVA. I just came off a successful season on my Varsity school team as well - where I led my team to our conference championship and was named MVP. My coaches have told me that I have amazing ball handling skills and am able to flex on the court by helping my team in both offensive and defensive situations in clutch situations. I am a leader on and off the court - always looking for ways to informally coach others to motivate them to do their best. Academically, I go to one of the most rigorous private high schools in New York City and have a 3.7 GPA which includes AP level coursework.
In college, I plan to major in pre-law with a minor in environmental science because I am extremely passionate about making sure my generation leads the way in protecting the future of our planet and resolving societal issues facing our communities.
With me on your team, you will get a player that is not only an athlete of the game but also a master student of the game - laser focused on reviewing film, reflecting on areas of strength and identifying ways to improve. I am so looking forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Jordana
