My name is Ava Palombo and I am 5'3 110 lb. I'm a Libero and Defensive Specialist. I've been playing volleyball for 6 years. I started for 2 years on JV, I've played 4 years on club teams as well as a summer playing Beach Volleyball. I tried out for Varsity, with there only being one spot available the coaches decided not to take any of the incoming juniors. I did not let this stop me the following week I tried out for a highly competitive club team and out of 60 girls I was one of the 10 picked to be on the team. I have also played softball for 12 years I find that I am more loyal to volleyball. I am very dedicated to my studies I make sure that I keep my grades up so I never put my sports status in jeopardy. Playing sport has helped me learn how to manage my time. In college, I would like to study Political Science or a similar major that will lead me on a path to law school. School has always been a challenge for me, after getting privately tested I was diagnosed with dyslexia I worked with tutors for a little over 3 years to help me overcome the challenges that I experienced. This has taught me a lot and helps me with school and sports.
