Playing volleyball in college is a goal of mine. Choosing this college will be a combination of majors/education, volleyball team and coach, and maybe location. I am a very driven person in both my academics and my volleyball. Giving over 100% in practice and games is my style.
Although I tend to be a quiet person, my coaches have told me my effort speaks louder than my voice. My ability to stay calm, cool and focused helps keep my teams from panicking in tight game situations. The experience I bring is coming from a small town where your team is always the "underdog" and being able to play as a team to overcome the odds and play at any level asked. I have played in both indoor and beach for the past 9 years and have competed at nationals in both.
Since I'm not 6 feet tall, I have learned to hit around the block and use the block to help me score. My defensive skills are strong and I have been told I will make an excellent libero, although the teams I play on need me to play all 6 rotations, both front and back row.
This year, I will be playing at Quest For Excellence in Greensboro, NC, City of Oaks in Raleigh, NC, K2 Power League in Sevierville, TN, Shamrock in Roanoke, VA , Big South in Atlanta, GA in April and Nationals in FL in June as well as a few others.
