My name is Jael Jordan. I was born in Dayton, Ohio, but now live in Belmont, North Carolina. I have been playing volleyball for 4 years now. Up until sixth grade, I had never played volleyball, but I thought it would be fun to try out. From then on, I fell in love with the sport. For me, volleyball was an outlet for all of my problems. I gained confidence through volleyball, and with confidence and hard work, I became the player I am today.
When I am not in volleyball, you will often find me laughing with friends, eating food (cookies), dancing randomly, reading books, traveling with my family for my brother's gymnastics meets, helping out with children at church, and doing homework that is due two weeks in advance. I have been told I am very funny, and when I'm not around, life is often boring. I am very encouraging and enjoy making my teammates laugh while on the sidelines. I am a hard worker, that doesn't mind conditioning, learning, drawing, and painting. I have all the aspirations of becoming a teacher. I am very social and don't mind being the oddball out.
As far as college goes, I don't mind where I go, as long as I am getting a good education and reaching the goals I have for myself. For me, volleyball is a privilege and I plan to earn that privilege. These are just a few things about myself and I am glad you get to know about who I am and why I enjoy playing volleyball.
