Meagan Mowrey '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Meagan Mowrey, I’m a 5’4 Libero/DS from Denver, NC. I started playing volleyball when i was 12, I wanted to join my friends in playing for a local rec league, and I’ve been in love with the game ever since. My favorite tournament has always been Capitol Hill, especially since this past season my team finished 2nd in 16-Patriot and I was honored to be named the “Best Defender" and “Best Server” of the division. My goal has always been to play volleyball collegiately, and I hope I can enhance the team I end up playing with with my skills and mindset. I am a very competitive person both on and off the court, and always make sure to give 110%. Thank you and I hope to talk with you soon!

We have had the distinct pleasure of not only coaching Meagan Mowrey but had the opportunity to have her assist us this year with our boy’s volleyball program.

Meagan is a fierce competitor who plays exceptional defense.  Her mentality is, "get in the best position given the hitters/blockers positioning and then nothing hits the floor!”  What is also exceptional about Meagan is her ability to be a great teammate as well.  She is always encouraging and pushing her teammates to be the best they can be not only in practice but especially in a tournament setting.  

With Meagan as a coach we were able to leverage her defensive skills to show the boys not only the best positioning but passing technique and movement, all with Meagan’s assistance and demonstrations for the boys.  

Meagan Mowrey is not only a great volleyball player but simply just a great girl.  Any team and coach would be lucky to have her as part of their team.
