My goals and aspirations are to have the opportunity to compete and train at the college level, which will further my growth as an athlete and as an individual. Along with my goal of becoming a college athlete, I am aiming to obtain a certification and/or degree in electrical work or HVAC. When asked what sets me apart from other athletes or people of my age it is my steadfast motivation and determination to finish and follow through with what I start. Having been a wrestler since elementary school, and continuing through middle and high school, I’ve learned that just like life, an athlete will experience highs and lows. There will be matches that will be won and inevitable setbacks will be had. I truly believe that when faced with losses or difficulties, one must persevere persistently regardless of the obstacles placed in front of them.
If I were given the opportunity to be a member of a college level wrestling team, I would most definitely share the values and principles that have been instilled in me. I will work hard to positively motivate my teammates, I will carry myself with integrity on and off the mat, I will encourage my fellow team members and openly acknowledge any mistakes I may make. These things are what drive me, and I believe that helping maintain a positive environment (which is essential) for a winning team.
