Joseph Slattery '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6' 195 lb junior three sport athlete from Queensbury, NY.  I started on the Queensbury Varsity football team my sophomore year and earned a 2018 Section II Class "A" Second Team All League Running back award.  I earned a  Section II Class "A" First Team All  League Running Back award for the 2019 season.   In addition to running back, I was included in all special teams and was a defensive linebacker.  I have earned back to back Defensive player of the year awards throughout my Freshman and JV basketball campaigns.  I also received the achievement of Queensbury Sophomore Athlete of the Year award throughout the 2018-2019 year.  I have maintained an 88.947% GPA and top 38% of class.

I am looking for a university where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field.  I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of education or communication and sports journalism.  Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team, further progress my leadership skills on and off the field while striving to be the best athlete and teammate that I can be.
