My name is Lacey Russell; I am a sophomore at Queensbury High School, located in Queensbury New York. I have always been very interested in, and plan to major in Psychology. I’ve already experienced some work with it, and have been to many extracurricular events. The purpose of this statement is to show and express my passion and desire to play softball. I hope to pursue my career in softball and play at the next level. Softball has always been my “escape“ from the stress that life can hold, and has always been something that I hold very deer and close to my heart. Softball has always been my passion since I was a little girl. I started playing when I was just 5 years old, and I have had 10 years of experience since then. Softball has already given me so many amazing privileges and opportunities. I have gotten to travel, meet new people, advance my play in the game, and play with amazing girls and coaches. Softball has welcomed so many amazing things into my life, and I can’t wait to see what it has in store for my future. My ultimate goal with softball is to of course, play at the college level. My goal is to play at least at a division 2, although It would be amazing if I could work myself and get up to division 1. I hope to meet more amazing girls who have the same strive and passion in softball as I do. I have always put all of my effort and heart into softball, and I hope that I can keep doing that at the college level. I’m willing to put whatever effort it takes to be the best softball player I can possibly be. Softball is not an easy game. It takes guts, sacrifice, timing, focus, ect. In softball you have to push yourself to your limits, and achieve your goals. I have always been a competitive, and hardworking person, and I, even since a young age, have always strived to do and be better, not only in softball, but in my academics as well. I have always been a high achiever and set many goals for myself. I challenge myself in my academics for example, by taking honors classes. Math studies have never been my strong suit, yet I still take honors level classes just to challenge myself. Yet, at the end of the day, I almost always come out on top, and get good grades. I believe that the only way you can get better at something, is to challenge yourself, and push yourself as hard and as far as you can, until you reach your goal. This is exactly why I love the game of softball. It challenges you physically, and mentally. Overall, softball has made me a stronger person not just physically, but mentally. This is why I hope to pursue my dream of playing College softball, and even further, better myself as a student, player, and person.
Thank you so much for taking your time to view my profile.
