Fall 2012Personal Statement
Golf is my passion. It's the one thing that I dream about, talk about, and play more than anything else in the whole world. Nothing brings me greater joy than stepping onto a golf course; no matter what the weather or condition of the course. There is something about swinging clubs and competing at a high level that is awesome. I feel that I am playing very well but that I can still improve.
I have played golf since I was old enough to stand and hold a club, and I have been playing in state and national tournaments for 4 years. My scores and rankings have steadily gotten lower with each season of golf. That said, I've had some great finishes this year - 2nd place in the NC high school state tournament, 10th place in the Southern Junior, and most recently, 5th place in the TYGA State Championship. My goal is to play in high level tournaments, to play consistently, and to finish well. My desire is to play Division I college golf, beginning in the fall of 2014.
