As an individual, not just as a soccer player, I believe it to be important to have ambition. Ambition to be better, to go after the things that you really want in life. For me it is a dream to play in college, around a professional environment that can allow me to move forth with the sport I love so much. Throughout all the wins and losses, through the ups and the downs, the most important thing that it has taught me is to be humble. To realize that to be able to play soccer is a gift, that you are able to enjoy something that unfortunately not everyone has the ability to do.
As a defensive midfielder, a philosophy that my current coach always tries to ingrain in me is that "...the ball should never be on your feet for more than three seconds." This pretty much sums up my play style. I like to enforce a game of simple soccer, something that I've been mastering for years. I have learned a lot from my coaches as my humble nature has allowed me to truly improve my game based on what they tell me. As a player I see the importance of being taught from more experienced people, and thus I bring a very coach-able personnel. And of course I bring the other cliches such as hard work, dedication, etc. I am ready for any challenge that is to come and I thank you for taking the time to read this, just a little something from a kid raised in Queens.
