I have been apart of track and field since 8th grade, but I start getting serious during my freshmen year of high school and wanted to be apart of the team. I joined indoor and outdoor during freshmen and sophmore year. I considered myself as a sprinter in the beginning of high school and over the course of my training in high school, I started noticing that I would be better as a mid-distance/distance runner. These changes have impacted me because I was able to understand the type of runner I am and started working on those changes. When it comes to training, I try my best to be the best version of myself and give it all during races. My times for the races I have done aren’t the best right now, but they can motivate me to do better and hit a PR for myself. As an athlete, not only do I want to be apart of a college team, I have other aspirations and goals I want to follow when I do get into college. I have been in honors classes for both math and science because I’m generally good in those classes and I want to major in computer science when I get into college.
