I started running Track & Field in sixth grade after a school meet. This was where I realized how much I enjoyed competing with other people and seeing myself improve. One thing running has made me realize about myself is that my success will never come without sacrifices; time, energy and money to name a few. The biggest influence I’ve had is from my parents, who were very supportive of what I was interested in and would provide me with what I needed in order to succeed. This has always made me grateful.
My primary academic goal in high school is to graduate grade 12 with honours and to be more educated in the career path of my interest. For college, my goal is to maintain a strong average in my classes alongside my athletic career. Being that I’ve ran at various provincial meets within Canada, my main goal in track is to be able to compete on a national level. Finally, I'm not afraid to admit when I need help and to do whatever is necessary to overcome any challenges whether academically or athletically.
