I have been playing point guard since 4th grade when I started AAU basketball. I have been team captain of the varsity team at Carrboro High School, both Sophomore and Junior years and I have been the starting point guard since Freshman year. I was selection all-conference honorable mention sophomore year and all-conference first team Junior Year. I averaged 21.6 points my junior year. I also play AAU basketball for the Carolina Allstars. In addition to basketball, I run on the varsity cross-country and track teams.
I want to attend a top academic college where I can play basketball. My current GPA is a 4.531, and I am taking the most challenging courses offered at my school (including 10 AP classes sophomore/junior years).
I feel that my strengths as a player include: my stamina, court vision, ball-handling skills, and ability to attack the basket. Many of my coaches say that another one of my strengths is that I am very coachable. I am currently 5'9”.
