My name is Abigail Arndt. I am currently on Lady Ballers. I have been playing lacrosse since 3rd grade. Since I first stepped on the field with my older brother just passing the ball to my youth league, I was fascinated with the sport and always wanting to become better.
I have a strong defensive IQ, and strong stick skills on both hands but I am a dominant righty. I am a team leader who always encourages my teammates to play at their maximum strength. My coaches past and present would speak highly of my coachability. I am able to rapidly apply prior lessons to situations at hand while on the field. I always strive to be the hardest-working player on and off the field be that in my academia or other extracurricular activities. (Such as my online business and dance.)
I work year-round on improving my lacrosse skills and IQ in a multitude of ways. I play travel lacrosse in the fall and summer for Lady Ballers. As well, I attend Nike-Pace summer camp and participate in multiple showcases. During the winter, I participate in workouts which occur biweekly (7 PM to 9 PM), and a winter league with my high school team at House of Sports.
Not only do I enjoy improving my own skills but I love sharing my knowledge of the sport. In the fall I coach for the Armonk lacrosse club for grades 1st-8th. (Formerly called Byram Hills Lacrosse.)
In the classroom, I study hard to maintain a high GPA. I have received honor roll every quarter sometimes even high honor roll.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself both academically / in the lacrosse field and actively apply my problem-solving skills. I am open to all options and want to find the right college that will enhance my already strong level of competition. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, and my community and to make those around me proud.
