Kensington English '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kensington English (#79), and I play Center Back for the 2010 New York Rush Select Girls Team. I attend Clayton A. Bouton High School, where I am a two-sport Varsity athlete in both Soccer and Softball while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Both on and off the field, I constantly strive to improve. As a player, I am brave, aggressive, and strong. I am not afraid to take headers or put my body on the line to block shots, and I pride myself on my ability to win the ball with clean, effective slide tackles when needed. I have a high soccer IQ that allows me to read the offense effectively, and I prioritize a positive attitude and strong communication, as I believe soccer is just as much a mental game as it is skill-based. I actively look for feedback because I know it makes me a better teammate and competitor. Off the field, I am dedicated to my academics and have earned a spot on the High Honor Roll since 6th grade. I was honored to receive the NYSPHSAA Student Athlete Award in 2025. I also value giving back to my community through volunteering at my local church and assisting with library events. My goal for college is to find a program that meets my academic and athletic ambitions while helping me grow into the best version of myself for the future.
