I hope to attend a good college that is right for me in terms of academics. I would like to double major in communications/journalism and German. I am currently enrolled in AP, college level, and honors classes. I am extremely diligent, and I will do anything to excel in school and on the track. I have been running track since second grade, and I have been a member of Garden City High School's Varsity Track program since eighth grade. I was named Garden City Girls Varsity Spring Track MVP in my freshman and sophomore years, and I have received all-conference and all-county honors in all of my years on the Varsity team. During my freshman year I suffered from patellar tendonitis which hindered some of my times; however, I have overcome that injury and am fully committed to improving my running abilities. During the winter track season I run the 600m, 300m, 55m, and 4x400m. During the spring season I run the 400IH, 200m, and 4x400m. Although I mainly run the 200m, 4x400m, and 400IH, I am a versatile runner, and I am open to running other distances as well; I ran my first ever 800m in 2:26 without any prior 800m-specific training. I look forward to pursuing my track career throughout college.
