Wrestling is my passion and one of my goals is to reach the collegiate level. I am a hard worker; who is focused and driven which are key characteristics you need to be a wrestler. Once I found this sport it has been all I have wanted to do. I started wrestling my freshman year in Germany and quickly learned that technique and practice can take you far. Winning my weight class at 195 lbs in the 2019 DODEA European Championship was one of my highlights. This past year we moved from Germany to New York due to my dad being in the US Army. The move alone was not so bad as I have previously moved over 9 times in my life. What made this move difficult was the high school I am attending does not have a wrestling team. I overcame this challenge by affiliating with another school for the 2019- 2020 season. I would do anything to be part of a wrestling team, and I adapted to the situation and quickly became a team player. I found myself having to wrestle anyone, anywhere in order to get my matches and my hardworking teammates and I got better throughout the season. This year I placed as a NY State Section IX finalist. I am hopeful and excited for whatever the future holds and I am thankful for every opportunity I am given.
